| The SMIFS are fans of PC Dale Smith and Alex Walkinshaw. We're dedicated to the enjoyment and appreciation of Smiffy as a character on The Bill, and Alex as a great actor. And don't let the name fool you we actually accept people who aren't infatuated with Smiffy. SMIFS may be recognised by the sign off "Oi! The SMIFS Have Landed" or "Oi!" or short, this honours one of Smiffy's favourite sayings. Many of the members of the SMIFS may participate in The Bill forums, chats, etc and are invited to join a discussion list for Smiffy fans (Smiffy_Chat@yahoogroups.com or online at http://www.yahoogroups.com/group/smiffy_chat) which we share with Non-SMIFS members.
